Wisconsin Badgers football 2026 offseason transfer portal tracker
Stay up to date on every Wisconsin football transfer portal move for the 2026 offseason, including all roster departures and new additions.

The University of Wisconsin football program heads into the 2026 offseason with something far more urgent than a typical offseason checklist.
After a 4–8 season that exposed the gap between where the Badgers are and where they want to be, Luke Fickell and his coaching staff are now staring down a transfer portal window that will go a long way toward determining whether this rebuild gains enough traction to continue or if it drifts further off course and forces another reset.
The transfer portal officially opens on Jan. 2, and every Power Four program knows what’s coming. Nobody is immune to roster turnover anymore. The Badgers expect plenty of departures. They expect difficult conversations to take place. They expect to have a roster that looks meaningfully different by the time spring practice rolls around. But they’re hoping the influx of talent and experience moves the program forward.
For the first time in this new era, the administration is signaling that significant investment in the program is on the table. Between the NIL funding and the financial flexibility created via revenue sharing, Wisconsin believes it finally has the resources to compete for high-end portal talent rather than dig deep for marginal upgrades. Now they have to prove it.
“Internally, you felt like, man, there are some things that are growing,” Fickell said. “You don’t always get a chance to see them on Saturdays, and sometimes the struggles outweigh the things you can visually see, especially on Saturdays. When it’s all said and done, we’ve got to take a deep dive into the things that we need to be able to do.
“We’ve talked about some of the traditional things of how to continue to build a program and how to continue to build a team, and those are things we know we’re going to make adjustments and changes to. But we felt like we’re on a path that’s going to take us to the right place. There are a lot of things we still have to be able to continue to adapt, adjust, and change.”
As the transfer window opens, this tracker will monitor every move, who’s leaving, who’s joining the Badgers, and how Wisconsin attempts to rebuild its identity in what will be a pivotal offseason for the football program.
