Wisconsin football QB Landyn Locke decommits, re-opens recruitment
Wisconsin Badgers 2025 quarterback signee Landyn Locke has decided to re-open his recruitment and explore other options.
The Wisconsin Badgers have officially lost a quarterback signee from their 2025 recruiting class.
Landyn Locke, who put pen to paper with the Badgers during the early signing period, announced on X that he is reopening his recruitment.
“I have decommitted and am no longer signed to the University of Wisconsin. I am thankful for the opportunity, but my recruitment is 100% open,” Locke wrote in a statement.
This news comes on the heels of his older brother, Braedyn Locke, entering the transfer portal after two seasons in the football program.
Locke’s departure doesn’t come as much of a surprise to anyone who has been paying attention. Wisconsin parted ways with his lead recruiter, offensive coordinator Phil Longo. On top of that, the Badgers recruited over him, bringing in four-star dual-threat quarterback Carter Smith to the 2025 class late in the cycle.
