Wisconsin men’s basketball doesn’t need to reinvent an offense that finished among the nation’s best last season.

But it might need to redistribute where the production comes from.

Nick Boyd and John Blackwell are gone after combining for nearly 40 points per game, leaving Greg Gard without the two perimeter scorers who carried much of Wisconsin’s shot creation a year ago. What returns is an established frontcourt led by Nolan Winter and Austin Rapp, with more size behind them than Gard has had in years past.

So the Badgers aren’t abandoning what worked. They’re tweaking it around what this roster does best.

Wisconsin’s offense isn’t going backward
