The University of Wisconsin football program went from celebrating its biggest win of the season to confronting some familiar problems in the span of a week.
After upsetting No. 16 USC at Camp Randall Stadium, the Badgers traveled to Iowa City and suffered a 30-0 loss to Iowa, their fourth consecutive defeat to the Hawkeyes under head coach Luke Fickell.
Wisconsin (5-3, 3-2 Big Ten) managed just 235 yards of offense, rushed for 52 yards and committed three turnovers. Iowa controlled possession for more than 36 minutes and scored on six possessions.
During his media availability, Fickell acknowledged the disappointment but repeatedly emphasized the importance of moving forward rather than allowing one performance to derail the season. With Rutgers coming to Madison and bowl eligibility within reach, the Badgers have plenty to fix.
Here are three takeaways from Fickell’s comments ahead of Wisconsin’s matchup with Rutgers.
