Greg Gard and the Wisconsin basketball coaching staff didn't waste any time contacting one of the instant-impact power forwards who entered the transfer portal earlier today.

Get 90% off for 1 year

On Monday evening, Jake Weingarten of Stockrisers reported that Wisconsin was among a long list of potential suitors that reached out to Dartmouth forward Dame Adelekun.

"Every athlete talks about the COVID pandemic, and I wanted the year back to give it a look," Adelekun told 247Sports. "I knew my stats were good. Dartmouth was a great experience, and I received a great education, but it does not provide the biggest athletic experience I can get. I want to see what that experience can be like."

Along with UW, Adelekun has heard from Arkansas, Ohio State, Wichita State, Boise State, Clemson, Arkansas, Seton Hall, Maryland, Vanderbilt, Rhode Island, Seton Hall, Loyola Chicago, FGCU, NC State, UNCC, and UNCG.

The 6-foot-8, 220-pound forward averaged 13.8 points, 7.2 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 2.0 blocks, and 1.0 steals on 56.3% shooting from the field this past season.

"I am looking for a good experience through the facilities, NIL, and a winning culture," Adelekun said.
