Wisconsin MBB Eyeing Summer Visit for Talented 2025 Forward
Wisconsin will host 2025 forward recruit EJ Walker out of Earlinger, Kentucky, on an unofficial visit to Madison sometime in June.
Greg Gard and the Wisconsin basketball coaching staff have been keeping a close eye on 2025 forward EJ Walker out of Earlinger, Kentucky, who has been turning heads for Brad Beal Elite during the spring evaluation period.
“Coach [Sharif] Chambliss has been recruiting me since my high school season,” Walker told BadgerNotes. “They were at all my games this past weekend at the EYBL.”
According to a source close to the program, the Badgers expect to get the 6-foot-8, 220-pound forward on campus for an unofficial visit to Wisconsin in June to get to know Walker better, with the possibility of extending a scholarship offer in the near future.
“I’m looking for a program that can develop me,” Walker told BadgerNotes. “Good academics, a winning culture, and a family atmosphere are also important.”
Walker already holds offers from Dayton, Minnesota, Northern Kentucky, Purdue, West Virginia, Xavier, and several other schools. He’s also hearing from several other Power 5 programs like Indiana, Notre Dame, Michigan State, and Ohio State.
His recruitment is just getting underway, so it’ll be interesting to see how much momentum Wisconsin can gain over the next few weeks.
