Receiver depth is quickly becoming a strength for Wisconsin football

Fall camp practices show the Badgers have a receiver rotation capable of stretching defenses and keeping legs fresh.

One of the biggest questions I had at the start of fall camp for the Wisconsin football team was the makeup of the wide receiver room.

It’s a position that looks vastly different than it did a year ago. Since 2025, the Badgers have added nine receivers from the portal and converted Jackson McGohan from tight end.

In all, the Badgers have 15 wide receivers on the roster.

So yeah, depth in itself isn’t a problem. But having ‘depth,’ as in players who could actually make an impact or even see the field this season, is the important part. And right now, it looks like they might have that.

The Badgers are 10 practices into fall camp with No. 11 coming in front of fans tonight at the open practice. Here’s what I’ve noticed from the wide receiver group in the practices I’ve attended.
