Luke Fickell and the Wisconsin football program have officially hired Jeff Grimes as their new offensive coordinator, and on this episode of Talkin’ Badgers, we’re breaking down what his “RVO” (reliable, violent, offense) system brings to Madison.
“We’re excited to welcome Coach Grimes to our staff,” Fickell said. “He has experience at the highest level of college football and a proven record of success everywhere he’s been. He’s shown the ability to evaluate athletes and build a scheme around the strengths of his personnel.
"He’ll bring a multiplicity of offense that balances a hard-nosed running game with a vertical passing attack,” he continued. “I’m looking forward to working with him and his impact on our young men.”
From a tough, physical run game to creative play-action downfield passing concepts, Grimes’ scheme offers the ideal blend of modern innovation rooted in traditional fundamentals. Will this approach help the Wisconsin Badgers restore their offensive identity and contend in the Big Ten?
