Wisconsin football; Badgers running back Nate White

The Wisconsin football coaches have confirmed a position change for one of its players.

Nate White, who entered fall camp as one of eight scholarship tailbacks, will now work with position coach Kenny Guiton in the wide receivers room.

White, who committed to the Wisconsin Badgers under former head coach Paul Chryst, was considered a 3-star recruit coming out of high school and the No. 1 in-state player during the 2023 cycle.

This move comes after White struggled to carve out a role in a crowded backfield that only grew more competitive with the arrival of some highly-touted freshmen in the 2024 recruiting class.

During his media availability after practice, Coach Guiton addressed what led to the decision to move the Milwaukee King product to wide receiver.
