Wisconsin Football Lands Commitment From 4-Star S Braedyn Moore
Luke Fickell and the Wisconsin Badgers added a talented four-star safety out of Hamilton, Ohio, to their 2023 recruiting class.
Madison, Wis. - Luke Fickell, the new head coach of the Wisconsin football program, officially began putting in the leg work to piece the 2023 recruiting class back together - hosting a myriad of prospects on campus for visits.
On Monday, after taking an official visit to Madison this past weekend, Luke Fickell and his coaching staff received a verbal commitment from four-star safety Braedyn Moore out of Hamilton, Ohio.
Per the 247Sports Composite, he's the No. 335 overall prospect in the 2023 recruiting class, the No. 15 ATH in the country, and the No. 11 player in Ohio.
Moore, a one-time Cincinnati commit, chose to follow coach Fickell to UW over offers from Cincinnati, Akron, Boston College, Duke, Illinois, Indiana, Kent State, Miami (OH), Minnesota, Pittsburgh, Toledo, Wester Virginia, and a host of other schools.
The 6-foot-2, 190-pound ATH registered 38 solo tackles and four interceptions on defense while adding 79 catches for 1,039 yards and 18 touchdowns on offense as a senior.
Scouting report
In Moore, Wisconsin football is getting a lengthy and versatile athlete who projects best at safety in college. A few things that stand out on film are his fluidity, ball skills, and change of direction.
Moore also has experience at cornerback in high school, so he will give the Badgers' defense an excellent hybrid option that can match up better against tight ends or big slot wideouts. His ability to high-point and track a football as a defensive back will undoubtedly be an asset.

He'll need to add some weight, but his fit into a 3-3-5 defensive scheme like coach Fickell's is damn near picture-perfect. There is a lot of upside in Braedyn Moore's game.
The Impact of his addition to the 2023 recruiting class
The Wisconsin Badgers 2023 recruiting class now sits at 10 scholarship players with the addition of four-star safety Braedyn Moore, who quickly became the top-ranked player in the 2023 recruiting class, according to 247Sports.
Wisconsin football has the No. 69 (nice) rated recruiting class in the country at the moment, but that number will assuredly change in the coming weeks and months as coach Fickell works to bring in his own guys.
