I think it’s fair to say AJ Blazek recruited well, and there is some young talent in that room if those guys stick around. Hardy Watts, Nolan Davenport, Logan Powell, and a few others have tools and upside worth developing. The reality, though, is that the offensive line is one of the hardest positions for young players to make an impact.
Difference-makers there usually aren’t first or second-year guys, and given where this program is right now, I don’t think you can bank on major leaps from that group. If they were closer to being ready, even acknowledging injuries and shuffling, we probably would have seen more of them last season. I think they need to invest heavily in the offensive line and attack the transfer portal.
