Observations and takeaways from Wisconsin football’s fall camp scrimmage

The Badgers closed fall camp with a scrimmage, providing one final look at where things stand before preparations shift to Week 1.

The Wisconsin football team wrapped up the open portion of fall camp with a scrimmage today. A lot of live work gave us a good look at what the 2026 Badgers could potentially look like on the field.

While the defense ultimately won the day, there was a good amount of back-and-forth between the two sides of the ball.

Here are my observations and takeaways from the final practice open to the media.

The backup QB competition is too close to call
