Dillon, Very good current bio on DP. I wish him success. But this sentence flummoxed me: “In a locker room that experienced no shortage of turbulence that steadiness mattered.” Isn’t that a contradiction of what Mac and LF have been feeding us ?
I think both things can be true. It’s fair to acknowledge how this team stayed together during the 2025 season and the leadership that emerged along the way. At the same time, that cohesion wasn’t there in 2024, when the locker room fractured during a five-game skid to end the year, something Luke Fickell himself has acknowledged.
Darryl Peterson was there through both ends of that arc, and that matters. He experienced the low point and helped be part of the push back toward a healthier culture, which is why he deserves credit.
All the best to you DP
Will definitely be rooting for him and a return to the days when I think I almost understood college football.
Amen.
