Wisconsin football lands verbal commitment from Chicago-area edge rusher
Edge defender Darin Graham announced his verbal commitment to Wisconsin, giving the Badgers another addition in the 2027 cycle.
The University of Wisconsin football program added another piece to its growing 2027 recruiting class when Chicago-area edge defender Darin Graham announced his commitment to Luke Fickell and the Badgers.
“Blessed to announce my commitment to Wisconsin ALL GLORY TO GOD!” Graham wrote.
For Wisconsin, this one feels particularly significant because the Badgers had to beat out a handful of serious contenders to get it done.
Graham entered the summer with Wisconsin, Ole Miss, and Georgia Tech sitting at the top of his recruitment after narrowing his scholarship list to include Kentucky, Purdue, Minnesota, and several other Power Four programs. But shortly after Graham’s official visit to Madison, the Mount Carmel standout ultimately decided that the Badgers were the right fit.
That decision gives Wisconsin another addition from one of the Midwest’s premier high school football programs. Mount Carmel has produced Power Four talent for decades, including current Badgers running back Darrion Dupree. Notably, Graham has helped the Caravan capture two state championships while earning CCL Blue All-Conference honors as a junior.
The physical traits are what initially jump off the page.
