Dillon, are you going to follow up in January by interviewing the transfer portal loses of our depth chart 1s and 2s ? This one hurts. Was it that the money promised didn't show up ? playing time ? coaching ? etc ?
I’m speculating, because there’s rarely much to gain for either side in publicly unpacking these decisions, but the timing likely reflects a combination of factors. With younger players climbing the depth chart, the path to being the focus point of the defense was becoming less certain, while Alliegro’s value on the open market was only rising. A more clearly defined role and the realities of NIL opportunities elsewhere are hard to ignore, and it’s reasonable to assume his representation viewed the situation through that same lens.
Since everything is now about money and "investment", I'm guessing he wanted starter money while now being a backup to Posa and Catalano. Sad to see him go. He was really fun to watch.

Tough loss either way.
