Wisconsin football lands Ohio State transfer CB Bryce West
Former Ohio State cornerback Bryce West has committed to the Wisconsin Badgers after entering the transfer portal.
The University of Wisconsin football program continued to reshape its secondary by adding a transfer cornerback from a Big Ten powerhouse.
Ohio State cornerback Bryce West has committed to the Badgers, giving Wisconsin’s coaching staff another talented young defensive back to develop as the roster takes shape for 2026. West arrives with three years of eligibility remaining after spending two seasons with the Buckeyes.
“The last few days have been very hard for me, considering many different schools between returning and other things,” West wrote. “But I’m very happy with my choice [Wisconsin], and pushing for a fresh start somewhere. I thank everyone for the love and support over the years!”
West’s name will be familiar to recruiting followers. He was a composite top-75 prospect nationally in the 2024 class coming out of Glenville High School in Cleveland (OH.), one of the most respected Midwest pipelines.
At 5-foot-11 and 195 pounds, West brought a physical, competitive profile that fit what Ohio State looks for at cornerback, and was part of a national championship team during his time with Ryan Day and the Buckeyes.
