The Wisconsin football program has made its first addition to the offensive line through the transfer portal this offseason, and it’s a big one.

Oklahoma State transfer offensive lineman Austin Kawecki announced his commitment to the Badgers, giving Wisconsin an experienced interior presence at a position where answers were desperately needed.

Kawecki will arrive on campus as a redshirt senior with four seasons of Power Four experience and a track record of versatility across the interior.

“Jump Around,” Kawecki wrote on social media.

Kawecki spent the past four seasons with the Oklahoma State Cowboys, appearing in 24 total games after developing early in his career before stepping into a full-time role in 2025. This past season marked his breakout, as he played in 11 games and handled a starter’s workload in the middle of the Cowboys’ offensive line at right guard, then center.

According to Pro Football Focus, Kawecki logged 710 offensive snaps in this past season and finished with a 63.9 overall offensive grade. His profile skewed toward pass protection, where he earned a strong 76.8 pass-blocking grade across 394 pass-blocking reps, allowing 12 total pressures and two sacks. Kawecki’s run-blocking grade (58.8) reflects an area with room to grow, but the pass protection skill set is undeniable.
