The University of Wisconsin football team’s stunning upset of No. 23 Washington last Saturday is already paying dividends.

Tuesday afternoon, the Badgers secured a pledge from 2026 running back prospect Qwantavius “Fatboy” Wiggins, a three-star recruit out of Langston Hughes High School in Fairburn, Georgia. Wiggins was in attendance as the Badgers toppled Washington, and he says that was the catalyst for him flipping his commitment from Florida International. Wiggins also fielded interest from Auburn and Florida State before flipping to Wisconsin.

“Really just when I went on my visit, they treated me like family and the atmosphere was great and I just enjoyed the game,” he told BadgerNotes.com. “The defense played amazing, and I liked how the running backs ran the ball.”

Wisconsin still has a commitment from another Georgia tailback in the 2026 cycle, Amari Latimer, although rumors are swirling that he’s on flip watch after a recent visit to Ohio State.

Still, at the moment the Badgers have both halfbacks committed and plan to take two in the 2026 cycle.
