Wisconsin Badgers Betting Lines for Matchup Against No. 13 USC
The Badgers enter their Week 4 tilt as significant underdogs.
Luke Fickell and the Wisconsin Badgers football team will head west for a highly anticipated conference showdown as they take on No. 13 USC this Saturday in Los Angeles.
Both programs come into the game sitting at 2-1, but the Trojans, led by head coach Lincoln Riley, enter as 15.5-point favorites per FanDuel Sportsbook.
For those keeping an eye on the betting markets, Wisconsin currently sits at +520 on the money line, and the over/under is set at 50.5. Translation? Let’s just say Vegas isn’t giving the unranked Badgers much love here.
“Bye weeks are what they are. It's an opportunity for a couple things: to kind of self-scout yourself a little bit, get back to the basics of some of the things that you got to do moving forward and recognizing what you got to be able to do," Fickell told reporters. "For us, it was another opportunity for Braedyn Locke to get a lot more reps now that we're in the situation where Tyler [Van Dyke] is done for the year. So, in some ways, it came at a good point for that."
After needing late-game pushes to hold off Western Michigan and South Dakota, Wisconsin was humbled by a talented Alabama team in Week 3, losing 42-10 at home. The Badgers now face a new challenge in USC, which boasts one of the more explosive offenses in the nation but showed some vulnerability on defense in their 27-24 loss to Michigan.
Saturday’s game marks the eighth all-time meeting between Wisconsin and USC, with the Trojans holding a 6-1 edge in the series. The most recent matchup, however, saw the Badgers secure a 23-21 victory in the 2015 Holiday Bowl — where the legend of three-sack Jack was born.
Kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m. CT, with CBS broadcasting live from the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.
