Wisconsin basketball offers 2027 wing Baboucarr Ann on visit
Wisconsin extended an offer to 2027 four-star wing Baboucarr Ann after his Madison visit, impressed by his fit, mindset, and two-way potential.
When you talk to Baboucarr Ann, you can tell pretty quickly why his name keeps coming up among the best young prospects in the Midwest.
The Maple Grove (MN) standout is polished, grounded, and wired the way college coaches want players to be wired. He’s confident, but never entitled. Over the weekend, the 2027 four-star wing took his first trip to Madison for an unofficial visit, and by the time he left campus, he earned a scholarship offer from the Wisconsin men’s basketball coaching staff.
That moment wasn’t lost on him.
“When I got the offer, I just felt a sense of gratitude for everyone who helped me reach that point,” Ann told BadgerNotes. “It’s truly an honor.”
It was a moment of validation. That offer capped off a weekend that centered more on relationship building than conversation about basketball. But before that moment came, the connection was the part that sold Ann on the people inside the Wisconsin basketball program.
“My first impression of the coaching staff was amazing,” Ann said. “I can tell that they speak genuinely. Something that stood out is the belief that they have in me. They see a very high ceiling in me and potential to be a high-level player in their program, helping them win championships.”
That belief carries a lot of weight for a player like Ann, who’s already received scholarship offers from programs such as Minnesota, Arizona State, Iowa State, and Notre Dame, but still values honesty over hype.
Wisconsin’s staff, led by Greg Gard, Joe Krabbenhoft, and fellow Maple Grove alum Brad Davison, made it clear they like his long-term upside.
