See where Wisconsin basketball lands in Andy Katz’ Power 36
Despite the college basketball season being several months away, NCAA March Madness reporter Andy Katz dropped his updated Power 36 rankings on Tuesday afternoon.
Greg Gard and the Wisconsin Badgers made an appearance on the back-end of Katz’ list, coming in at No. 28.
This seems like a fair assessment considering UW needs to replace the Big Ten Player of the Year (Davis), the school’s all-time leader in three-pointers (Davison), and their top three reserves.
Thankfully, Wisconsin returns a core of Chucky Hepburn, Tyler Wahl, and Steven Crowl - while also adding experienced players Max Klesmit and Kamari McGee from the transfer portal this offseason to help plug some holes on the roster.
Overall, Katz had eight Big Ten programs listed in his power 36 – Indiana (7), Michigan State (13), Illinois (15), Michigan (17), Rutgers (20), Purdue (21), Wisconsin (28), and Iowa (31).
Here is a look at Katz’ full Power 36 along with a small explanation for each team:
