Johnny Davis to Play for Washington Wizards in 2024 NBA Summer League
The former Big Ten Player of the Year will play in his third NBA Summer League.
The Washington Wizards announced their official 2024 NBA Summer League roster, and former Wisconsin Badgers star guard Johnny Davis will be heading back to Las Vegas for the third time.
Davis, a top-10 pick by the Wizards in the 2022 NBA Draft, enters his age 22 season still trying to carve out a meaningful role in the association.
The 6-foot-5 wing appeared in 50 games for Washington during the 2023-24 campaign and averaged 3.0 points, 1.4 rebounds, and 0.6 assists on 40% shooting from the field in just over 12 minutes per game.
"I thought I definitely improved," Davis told reporters at his exit interview. "You only improve by playing games, so obviously, I played more games this year than I did last year. I probably didn't play as much as I would have wanted to, but you know that doesn't really matter, it's all about what helps the team win. So I thought when I did get the opportunity to play, I made the most of my minutes and definitely got better."
