Starting center returning to Wisconsin football for the 2025 season
Wisconsin football starting offensive lineman Jake Renfro has announced he’ll return to the Badgers for the 2025 season.
The University of Wisconsin football team's starting center has revealed his plans for the upcoming season.
Redshirt senior Jake Renfro announced on social media his intent to run it back with the Badgers for the 2025 season.
“One last ride in Camp Randall‼️," Renfro wrote. "LET’S GO!!!"
Renfro, who started all 12 games for the Badgers in 2024, had the option to return for another season after missing the 2022 campaign due to injury.
The Illinois native appeared in just one game last year after transferring in from Cincinnati, stepping in during the ReliaQuest Bowl to replace Tanor Bortolini, who declared for the NFL draft.
Standing at 6-foot-4 and 302 pounds, Renfro earned a career-best 66.5 offensive grade, according to Pro Football Focus.
He also finished with a 69.7 mark as a pass-protector and a 65.5 grade as a run-blocker.
In 781 total snaps this season, Renfro gave up eight pressures across 399 pass-blocking reps. The former All-AAC First Team center was flagged for six penalties overall, but only one came during the team's final six games.
