Madison, Wis. - Luke Fickell and the Wisconsin football program added their final pass-rusher in the 2024 recruiting class on Tuesday afternoon.
After taking an official visit on June 2 and weighing his options, four-star EDGE rusher Anelu Lafaele out of Honolulu, Hawaii, announced his commitment to the Badgers over the likes of Arizona State, Washington, Hawaii, Cal, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, and several others.
According to 247Sports, Lafaele is the No. 21 EDGE rusher in the country and the No. 2 player in Hawaii. It's also worth noting that outside linebackers coach Matt Mitchell acted as the lead in his recruitment.
"What stands out to me is the culture and the great line of success for players at my position and not only that but for all the Hawaii boys that made it up there," Lafaele said.
Lafaele is now the Badgers fourth high school recruit to commit to the Wisconsin football program from Hawaii, joining Nick Herbig, Micah Kapoi, and James Kamoku.
