Madison, Wisc. – Greg Gard and the University of Wisconsin men’s basketball program quickly identified and offered several high-level recruits in the 2024 cycle, some of which were in their backyard.

Their ability to get those players on campus and continue building relationships before the blue-bloods come knocking is of the utmost importance for a program like UW.

Outside of talent (obviously), Coach Gard values a player’s overall fit in terms of playing style and culture above all else. It is imperative to find someone who embraces what it means to play Wisconsin’s brand of basketball. That’s why Gardo doesn’t throw out many scholarship offers; he wants those offers to hold significance and be committable.

Odds are, Greg Gard and his coaching staff have already offered the future members of the 2024 recruiting class. So today, BadgerNotes will forecast predictions on who I believe will commit to UW in 2024 based on the current information, ranked by my confidence level.

(Keep in mind that recruiting is fickle a bitch, and things can change at the drop of a hat).

Jack Robison, Wing (Confidence level: 8)

Jack Robison, Lakeville North, Small Forward

As it stands, Wisconsin is in the driver’s seat for the 6-foot-5, 175-pound wing out of Lakeville North, Minnesota.

I’ve spoken to Jack Robison on several occasions, and each time I come away more confident he’ll be a Badger than the last.

There is an apparent connection between UW and the Lakeville North High School program – which certainly doesn’t hurt. But beyond that, he’s mentioned on several occasions that Wisconsin has everything he’s looking for in terms of relationships, playing style, and culture. Which is word-for-word what he said he was trying to find in a division one program.

It’s early, but as I mentioned in my latest interview with Robison, I expect a commitment to Wisconsin when all is said and done, and I even forecasted him to UW back in June.

Wisconsin trusted their initial evaluation, sunk their teeth in early, and appear to have a clear lead in his recruitment.
